1. Who is responsible
valenciaopendays.com (“we”) operates this website and is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: hello@valenciaopendays.com
2. What data we collect, and why
Contact form: first name, last name, email address, phone number and your message, together with the time of the request, the page it was sent from and your language. We use this only to answer your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
“Register your yacht” form: your contact details and the yacht information you provide. Used only to handle your participation enquiry. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Exhibitor account and application: name, email address, company details and the information you enter in your application (company, yachts, space requirements). Every registration is reviewed personally before access is granted. This data is used to manage your participation in the event, including estimates and contracts. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Accreditations: names and details of the persons you register for passes (crew, setup, exhibitor, cleaning). Used to issue passes and control access at the event. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Newsletter: your email address, and your name and company where we hold them. Every mailing contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing takes effect immediately and we keep no copy of you on any sending list afterwards. Two situations, and we record which one applies to you:
- You signed up on this website. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- We met you professionally — at a trade fair, through the industry, or as a business contact of the show. We write to you at your business address about this event only. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in professional communication with the yachting industry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time, and the unsubscribe link in every mailing does exactly that.
If you would rather not hear from us at all, one click on any unsubscribe link is enough — you do not need to give a reason and you do not need to write to us.
Protection against automated submissions: when a form is submitted we check where it came from, how quickly it was filled in and how many submissions arrived from the same IP address. The address is kept for a few minutes for that count only; submissions we reject as automated are logged with the IP address for 14 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms usable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making, we do not sell it, and we do not run tracking or advertising tools.
3. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies (such as the session cookie that keeps you logged in). No tracking, analytics or marketing cookies are set. That is why there is no cookie banner.
4. Service providers we use
Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (EU). All website data is stored on servers in Germany.
Email delivery (registration, approval, estimates, newsletter) and its delivery feedback (delivered, bounced, unsubscribed): Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC, USA). Postmark is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
These providers process data on our behalf and only as instructed. All fonts, styles and scripts are served from our own server — opening this website sends no request to any third party.
5. How long we keep data
Contact and participation enquiries: until the enquiry is dealt with, then deleted after twelve months at the latest.
Account, application, estimate and accreditation data: for the duration of our contractual relationship and the statutory commercial and tax retention periods that follow.
Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. After that, and for addresses that turn out to be undeliverable, your record stays on file with a do-not-contact status, so that we do not email you again. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in honouring your choice and in protecting our sender reputation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to hello@valenciaopendays.com — we answer without undue delay.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
7. Changes
We will update this policy when the website or our services change. The date above shows the current version.
